What is Roedean like?

Roedean is one of the most famous girls' boarding schools in England, founded in 1885 and occupying a wonderful position overlooking the sea near the popular seaside town of Brighton. London is under 2 hours away.

Headmaster, Oliver Blond, aims to make learning 'exciting and memorable' and Roedean is a school where girls are encouraged and supported to be happy, engaged and curious learners. Facilities are excellent and the boarding accommodation has recently been refurbished and provides a comfortable home for the large number of girls who board at the school both from within the UK and 30+ countries. 

Would Roedean be suitable for my child?

Roedean provides a good all-round education with high academic standards. The academic levels of the school are impressive and have improved greatly since 2013 and continue to do so, with the school regularly featuring in the Top 15 Girls Boarding Schools. Whilst providing a strong academic education, the school also focuses on the pastoral care aspect providing a very friendly and caring community.  

How can I apply to Roedean?

Main entry points to Roedean are in Years 7, 9 and 12. However, if spaces are available, applications will be considered for Year 8 and Year 10 applications.
