Established over 400 years ago in the heart of the naturally inspirational Wye Valley, the Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools offer pupils the chance to embark on an educational journey within a distinctive community. Split into single-sex schools from ages 11-16, Monmouth Schools Sixth Form (ages 16-18) brings boys and girls together at the final stage of their educational journey. Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools offer a unique and innovative system of education, known as the Monmouth Model. The family of schools that make up the Monmouth Model aspire towards national and international respect for delivering an exceptional all-round education for girls and boys. The schools are renowned for developing in their students a refreshingly grounded attitude to life and a belief in the importance of community.

The Enrichment programme gives students the freedom to make choices and balance work commitments with other interests. Many Sixth Form students enjoy enrichment courses in addition to their A level subjects. These courses are designed to enhance skills and knowledge, develop strong leadership skills and encourage a real sense of community values. A diverse range of collaborative activities are also offered including the sector-leading Monmouth Science Initiative with Cardiff University, which have produced award winning entries in the Young Enterprise Scheme and national engineering competitions.
